Do you need to know about the tent-part?
Looking for a tent-part?
Looking for a tent-part can be hard work. Here are some useful hints to help you.
There are not a whole lot of parts to a tent however if you snap a pole, or the zipper fails or a pole fitting gets lost then suddenly the camping plans go South.
The first way to avoid tent part issues is to look after and maintain the tent.
1. Collect the exact details of your tent, manufacturer, the model name, the year it was made and take a digital image of the erected tent to help identify it.
2. Take an image of the part you want for reference. If it’s a tent pole then measure it up along with the diameter. Whatever you do make sure you have the right details and description.
Telephoning the agents saying the little gizmo bit on the end of the sticks that hold the end up on a 1975 whatever isn’t enough. Get the description right
3. If you know the manufacturer or supplier then do a web search for the dealers and outlets and contact them.
With cheaper range tents the chances of getting parts is more difficult and the older the tent becomes the harder it is to locate or source a part.
4. Get onto e-bay and advertise the part you are looking for, you can be surprisingly lucky when you do this
5. If you are looking for tent-part for your tamp trailer or camper the same applies and most of the larger manufacturers offer online assistance such as Fleetwood/Coleman and others
