Choose your lightweight-sleeping-bag

Your lightweight-sleeping-bag - About Water Resistance?

The degree of waterproofing largely depends on the hiking and camping you will do.

If you camp out in ice caves etc with no tent than waterproof outer shell along with sealed seams is probably a good option. They will keep you hotter and a lot sweatier as well.

Breathability is important for the average user inside a tent.

Uou can opt for a bag where the foot is made of Gore-Tex Dryloft or another fabric that has a Durable Water Repellent factor however remember it is all adding weight for you to carry around.

Sleeping Bag Tips

There are some useful tips for getting the best night’s sleep that you can

1. Remember that your sleeping bag does not generate heat, and it is designed to keep your own body heat in. If you are exhausted, or not eating properly an are generally not generating enough body heat you will get cold.

Good health and nutrition is important if you want the most out of your sleeping bag.

2. Always use an insulating sleeping mat under your sleeping bag. The ground is cold and saps valuable body warmth through conduction. Get the most out of your lightweight-sleeping-bag

3. If you wear too many layers of clothing when sleeping it will reduce the effectiveness of the sleeping bag. How is that you ask? If you don’t allow the heat to reach the air pockets within the fill they cant serve the function they were designed for. Get the most out of your lightweight-sleeping-bag

Layers of clothes prevent breathing and you will actually feel colder. The bag is far more efficient than your clothing layers.

It’s better to be naked than in lot’s of clothes. If you want to wear something wear some breathable thermal underwear. Get the most out of your lightweight-sleeping-bag
